MTV News reports *NSYNC star JC Chasez caught hair metal tribute band Metal Shop’s weekly gig at the Viper Room in West Hollywood, California, on Monday and sunk into his seat when the band announced “JC from the Backstreet Boys” was in the house. The band then launched into a power ballad version of ‘I Want It That Way’.

Aww, that’s kinda sad, but mostly funny. I’m an NSYNC fan and all (mostly Justin fan), but that’s some funny stuff.
Funny. Looks like even the N Sync members themselves know how bad they suck…so they’re trying to join BSB! Of course, the BSB are smart enough to reject them!
That’s funny…considering that happened to me today….I was with my brother and I put in Jason Mraz’s CD and when he asked who it was he thought I said JC Chasez for some reason…and then he looked at the pic of Jason on the back of the CD and said “what? JC from the Backstreet boys or *NSYNC or something??” LOL. I love both *NSYNC AND BSB! always have!
If anything…this is an insult to BSB. they don’t even know the names of the Backstreet Boys…..and since JC alone is more popular…they actually remembered his name. that’s really sad…….nobody knows the names of the guys in BSB…… I don’t blame them.
The Backstreet Boys are just a clone of New Kids on the Block everybody knows that N’sync is TEN TIMES BETTER THAN THE BACKSTREET BOYS!
You gotta admit, the mix up is pretty funny. And you guys, ease up. It’s a simple mistake that anyone who isn’t a fan of either group can make.
It was an honest mistake. All these people are making such a big deal about it when really the band thought that they were right, Who cares? And why is Stallion going on and on about Elgato when he in fact hasn’t even posted a comment? Get a life man. Seriously.
I’d rather have my groups name remembered than my own name. I feel kind of sorry for JC though, that had to be embarrassing for him.
