Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck Aren’t Sweating ‘Gigli’ Disaster

The New York Daily News reports and fiance Ben Affleck had a brief reunion in Los Angeles yesterday, as pals of both say they’re not upset over the disastrous opening of ‘Gigli’. “Everyone has failures,” said a friend of Lopez. “She doesn’t seem down. Her attitude is – ‘next’.” A friend of Affleck added, “They’re fine. ['Gigli' director] Marty Brest may have a problem. Sony [the studio that released it] may take a beating. But Ben and Jennifer knew this was coming and will be able to ride it out.”

Finally News for people to get on with their life…I mean “GIGLI” has been the news of the week or even month….Now can people get a life and stop talking about it…I mean its sucks so what..Why do people need to talk about it for so long… As the news says My Attitude and all your attitudes should be “NEXT”!

In all honesty, I’m glad this movie failed. Not because I hate J Lo, but because now her and her fans can see what we (and Mariah) went through when Glitter was panned by America! Because the simple truth is…everyone DOES have failures! The failure of Glitter has only made Mariah stronger, and hopefully the same will happen for J Lo. So you know what…let’s all forget about Glitter…let’s all forget about Gigli…and MOVE ON!

To mention a Singer, Songwriter, Composer Mariah with a Bed-hopping, Run-away-From-Commitment-Engaged-While still Married JLO, makes my stomach turn. Mariah is an icon, she has paid her dues, she has been thru hell, had her heart broken, and public turn against her and she still stands proud. JLO has put us threw her bedroom for too long, and I’m sick of it. I use to like her, now I classify her in these terms….Non-committal Trampy Slut. She is disgusting. I could care less about her and drunkard Ben. Maybe they will practice a little restraint instead of screwing on boats in videos.

Tig, I totally agree with what you’re saying. Mariah IS an icon and HAS paid her dues. The point I was making is that J Lo made a movie that was ridiculed by America, which I’m sure her fans thought would never happen. But it DID happen!

I refused to believe this. I agree with Tig either, I wonder if Mariah’s laughing about this. LMAO

It’ll really be funny if “Gigli” fails to reach the 5 million-dollar mark. “Glitter” made that much amidst the bad reviews and Mariah’s bad publicity. I’d like to see this experience have the same effect on Jennifer as the “Glitter” experience did on Mariah, but I doubt she’ll even admit to herself that her over-exposed ass has a problem. Mariah actually has a sort of resilience about her. I can’t quite explain it, she seems to have an air of authenticity & an indestructible will—things that that Jennifer does not appear to possess. Plus, Mariah is completely genuine, and well, “Jenny From The Block” has obviously forgotten her roots.

Right on. “Glitter” got a few good reviews. The few reviews that were written in Jen and Ben’s favor described the film as mediocre at best.

I was hoping this film would bomb. Can’t wait for “Jersey Girl” and “Uptown Girl” to be released. I hate it for Kevin Smith though. He’s such a good writer/director. How did they know this was coming? People really don’t follow the reviews anymore. I was totally expecting J.Ho’s dwindling fan base…oh wait, I answered my own question. Never mind.

I agree with it too, why are people so eager to call her a has-been? Has-beens can’t sell over five million records containing new material worldwide (Charmbracelet). Kathie Lee released an album back in 1999, and she sold just over 27,000. That’s how much a has-been sells. I don’t like every CB song, but I think Mariah has at least two #1 singles left in her.
