Jennifer Lopez Orders Wedding Dress
The New York Post reports Jennifer Lopez is going ahead with plans to marry Ben Affleck despite reports that he cheated on her with strippers in Vancouver. “Jennifer has asked Vera Wang to design her wedding dress,” a pal of the designer confided. “She didn’t give Vera a date, but said the dress has to be ready by August 24th. Jennifer also asked Vera to recommend a wedding outfit designer for Ben [Affleck].” A source said, “There doesn’t seem to be a tape [of the stripper incident], so Jennifer doesn’t believe it happened.”

August 11, 2003 – The New York Post hears that Entertainment Tonight refused to do an interview with Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck for ‘Gigli’ because producers knew it would be a bomb and “didn’t want to be associated with it.”

August 11, 2003 – David Letterman joked about the Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck starring ‘Gigli’ during his Late Show monologue on Friday. Dave said, “Have you gone out to see ‘Gigli’ yet? (silence) It’s the new J. Lo and Ben movie. It’s the summer blockbuster…well really it’s not doing so well. In fact it’s now known as ‘Dude Where’s My Refund?'”

Ben and Jen are bigger idiots than I thought if they get married now. I mean with the bomb of a movie, bad press, and these cheating stories about Ben which are probably true, and then Jlo goes and orders a wedding dress? I don’t even think they have a strong foundation for marriage. I mean she was on the rebound from her last husband, which she more than likely dumped Ben for and then three months later she gets engaged while still married to another guy. I mean this is ridiculous. Why not just wait it out until at least these “rumors” die down or the stigma from the bad movie is gone? Bennifer just wants a spectacle wedding, they don’t give a damn about a marriage and making it work. Ben cheats and she wants a wedding dress. Sad.
yah true that ^ fantasylover. I think maybe this is just another attempt to fuel speculation that they’re going stronger than ever, despite those cheating rumors. I think either way, they’re doomed. they’re movie bombed, they’re getting nothing but bad press, and he’s supposedly cheating on her already! I think its sad.
She better make so it fits her fat ass.

Do you know Ben and Jen? I doubt you do, so I don’t think you should judge them. They’ve been together about a year or so, right? Why not get married? My parents married within a year of meeting each other and are still going strong twenty years down the line. Maybe the two of them feel ready to get married and want to do it now, or in the near future. Why should they wait until the rumors die down? Why can’t they just live their lives and do what they want? It’s not their fault they’re constantly in the papers. Oh, and they are just rumors. Neither you, me nor anyone else has the right to judge whether things that are said about the couple are true or not because we don’t know them at all.
I thought her wedding was hush-hush…now all of a sudden she tells the world that Vera Wang will make her dress??? she is so pathetically stupid.
Vera Wang is an awesome designer…she may actually be able to make J Lo look halfway descent.

These two are truly ridiculous. I think they are just playing the media. Their relationship was one big PR stunt. They probably decided ok it’s time to end this and had the stripper scandal. Now they want to keep people guessing by saying they are still on with a wedding. Their careers are better off with them not together. I want to see her as her hip hop self not someone who needs to act like Affleck wants her to act, all good and sophisticated. She looked hot the other night at the club without him. She definitely needs to get her identity back.
I do think they are taking advantage of the stripper story so people will wonder about their wedding. They are trying to create more attention when this is what got people fed up with them in the first place. No one cares if they are married or not.
