Jerry Blair, a former executive at Columbia Records who has worked with Mariah Carey since the inception of her career, has revealed in a conference call that Mariah’s record label MonarC has only signed one artist at this point, Isabelle. However, they’re looking at working with two of Mariah’s background singers. Tomorrow they will launch a talent search with Seventeen. Mariah will also make an appearance to introduce Isabelle’s first performance. MonarC will also be involved in cartoons and jingles. As for Carey herself, she’ll be busy doing photo shoots for Allure and Blender among others. In addition, an MTV is special being recording in New York this week, which will air around the time of the album release. There will also be specials taped for BET and VH1.
