Jesse McCartney’s Influences
Musichead caught up with Jesse McCartney for a Q&A and asked the singer what inspired him while he was working on his new album, ‘Right Where You Want Me’. “I was inspired by all the other artists I listen to: Justin Timberlake, Gavin Degraw, Maroon 5, new music like The Fray — all kinds of pop, rock and hip-hop,” he revealed. As for what he’s been playing on his iPod, the ‘Summerland’ alumnus said, “There’s a lot of great new music out now. I’m really into Gnarls Barkely and I love the new Justin Timberlake track ‘SexyBack’. Of course, I still like to listen to some old music like Journey and vintage Michael Jackson.”
