Star magazine is throwing cold water on the report by rival Us Weekly claiming Jessica Simpson and John Mayer are quietly dating. A source says the pair has not seen each other since meeting up at Double Seven nightclub in June. The pair have, however, been calling each other, and a source insisted they have not been intimate yet. Speculation is that both artists may have wanted to float this rumor to generate buzz for their respective new albums.
