Last month it was announced in the News section of Jessica Simpson’s Official Web Site that she would perform the National Anthem for Michael Jordan and the Washington Wizards on March 13, 2002. A couple of days prior to the game the item disappeared from the page. Simpson did not perform. As usual, neither Jessica nor her moderators offered any explanation as to why.
Note: Since Michael Jordan was injured at the time, TNT dropped the game from its schedule. Without a national TV audience, I’m guessing that’s why she dropped out.
