A source spoke with Star magazine after overhearing a conversation between Jessica Simpson and her mother Tina concerning her marriage to Nick Lachey. “Jess feels so down sometimes about fighting with Nick,” the source revealed. “She was moaning to her mom that Nick’s not treating her nicely. I think he’s jealous and doesn’t trust her.” Apparently the call was on speakerphone, because the source also knew Tina’s reply. “‘There are hurdles you face in marriage, and you can’t just give up’,” Tina reportedly said. “Jessica’s struggling to handle Nick being suspicious [of her flirting around] all the time, but she admitted that she does love him. Tina told her ‘she’s got to toughen up and work it out.’”
