A source tells The New York Daily News Jessica Simpson flubbing her lines to the Dolly Parton classic ’9 To 5′ wasn’t the first time the singer had troubles remembering lyrics. “You should have see her when she was doing the TV shows, promoting her last album ['A Public Affair'],” a TV insider said. “When she was doing the ‘Today’ show and all those [others], she needed a TelePrompTer under the camera, even for the songs she supposedly co-wrote. She didn’t know the words to any of them.” The singer’s rep responded, “It’s not uncommon for singers to have the words when performing on television shows. It’s common practice with most artists.”
