Jewel says in the new issue of Blender that she’s old-fashioned when it comes to relationships. “I like to serve a man. And I like to be served,” she admitted. “I love belonging to someone. I’ve never really liked being a flirt about town. The sexiest thing you can be is breakable.” As for her current boyfriend Ty Murray, Jewel says he “would always joke that he comes from a redneck culture. If you show him a [Mark] Rothko [painting], he’ll say, ‘What the fu** is this sh** for?’ Poetry is really lost on Ty. It’s not in his nature.”
