Jewel talked about fame and her new penchant for pop culture with the Boston Herald at the KISS Concert 2003 over the weekend. “I have a role in pop culture I never assumed I would have, and I’m able to sort of watch it in a front-row seat in a way I never thought I would,” she said. “Fame is high school, perpetuated. And Madonna’s the prom queen.”
