Jive Artists Backing New CD Replacement Format

The Hollywood Reporter says Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, and R. Kelly are amongst those that will their music in a new format intended to replace the CD. Jive Records will be the first label to commit their roster to the new DataPlay format. DataPlay discs are the size of a large coin in a clear plastic shell that hold more than 11 hours of compressed music files. Read more.
