The Mirror reports that in an interview with Louis Theroux, Michael Jackson’s father Joe Jackson became furious at the suggestion that Michael might be homosexual, shouting: “I can’t stand gays!” When Theroux asked what violence was used against Michael when he was a child, Joe denies hitting him. He argued: “I never beat him – you beat someone with a stick. I whipped him with a switch and a belt.” ‘Louis, Martin And Michael’ airs on BBC2 at 9pm on Sunday.
