Joel Madden Slams Kelly Clarkson For VMA Wins

Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden lashed out at Kelly Clarkson after the ‘American Idol’ season one champ was a big winner at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards in Miami. “For VMA news, I want to congratulate the guys in Green Day, The Killers, Fall Out Boy, and My Chemical Romance, they all had great performances, and its great to see someone who isn’t from an ‘American Idol’ sh**ty reality TV show, that make their own music at a music awards show,” Madden writes on the band’s official website. “Picture that – rock n roll on MTV, I think its awesome.”
