John Mayer Fans Too Young To Identify With Songs

Kristin White of the Georgetown Hoya reviewed the show that went down late last month at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va. White writes, “He came out of the gates slow, sitting down to sing ‘Victoria.’ But that would be the last time Mayer sat down all night. The throng of screaming girls behind me went crazy during ‘Why Georgia,’ but I seriously doubt that any of them fully understood the quarter-life crisis of which he sings. That seemed to be the theme of the night. While most of the crowd was familiar with his songs, both old and new, most fans seemed too young to really identify with what he was singing about.”
