John Mayer has formed the John Mayer Trio, which includes accomplished journeymen Steve Jordan on drums and Pino Palladino on bass. The threesome starts a club tour September 6th at the Fillmore in San Francisco, which will be followed by a live album for Columbia in December. “I would feel like I’m not making the most of my life if I don’t take this success and turn it into other opportunities,” Mayer told Billboard.
