December 28, 2004 – The New York Daily News reports that when John Mayer showed up to be inducted into Connecticut’s Fairfield Warde High School Hall of Fame, administrators nabbed the ’95 alumnus and escorted him right back out to his car, citing security concerns. “It was hurtful,” Mayer later told reporters.
