John Mayer exposed his songwriting methodology in a video clip at his YouTube channel. The singer songwriter’s friend Chad selected three songs – ‘Billy Jean’ by Michael Jackson, ‘One’ by U2 and ‘I Won’t Back Down’ by Tom Petty, and John combined the three in the song ‘Billy Jean Is Not My One Back Down’.
