JoJo – Only 13 But Is Already Kicking Lindsay & Hilary’s Butt
I don’t want to start an essay about why I like Jojo so I’m just going to keep this simple and sweet. JoJo is only 13 years old but the girl’s got skills, and by that I mean that she can ACTUALLY sing. I can’t say the same for her teen counterparts though. If we were in the 50’s or 60’s and there was no technology for voice enhancement and you had to audition for a record deal or record your album with just acapella, I HIGHLY DOUBT (notice caps) that Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan could pull it off.
Hilary can’t sing to save her soul and Lindsay has an okay voice, but it’s nothing to brag about. JoJo on the other hand is like a little Christina Aguilera in training. Like I said, she is only 13, and it’s hard to take her seriously, but I do believe she’ll go far. At her age, she’s already accomplished what Hilary and Lindsay would like to accomplish in their own singing careers. She’s beaten Britney Spears’ record and is a TRL favorite all at the age of 13. Most girls that age are in the 8th grade. But what I love most is that she isn’t a teen actress who just crossed over into singing. Unlike Hilary and Lindsay, it doesn’t seem like she’s just trying to make a quick buck out of singing.
As for her song ‘Leave’, its catchy but I’ll probably be sick of it by the end of the summer. =P
