Jon Peter Lewis Talks About Leaving ‘Idol’
Ousted ‘American Idol’ finalist Jon Peter tells ‘Entertainment Tonight’ he actually had a clue as to his departure when the stage manager turned around and said, “Whoever is leaving, have fun.” Since John Stevens’ song was a ballad, Jon Peter began to expect it was going to be him. “Everybody is teary after the show,” he said. “Fantasia has cried every time somebody leaves. They have to do a photo shoot right after and every week everybody is sobbing. I didn’t want that for me. I went backstage and said, ‘No tears.’ Still, Fantasia got this look in her eyes.”
