Jordin Sparks Encourages Volunteerism On MLK Day

Jordin Sparks checked in with fans on her YouTube channelon the eve of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday, talking about her role on the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation and how Monday is also referred to as a National Day of Service. The 'American Idol' season six winner tells viewers, "I just want to encourage you guys to go out and just volunteer. Go do something. With you guys, we can make the world a better place, and it can be something as small as maybe reading to your neighbor down the street or going to pick up track, or going to plant trees."
