Nine-year-old German pop star Joy Gruttmann promoted her first UK single ‘Schnappi’, about a baby crocodile, at the Capital Disney Studios on Wednesday (August 24) in London, England. The song was written by Joy’s aunt Iris Gruttmann before a copy was placed on the internet. The song was subsequently picked up by a local radio station, which led to a record deal. The single has since sold over 1 million copies in Europe, topped the charts in nine countries and received triple-platinum status in Germany.
