Judge Dismisses Britney Spears’ Libel Suit Against Us Weekly

Reuters reports that in a decision made public Monday (November 6), Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lisa Hart Cole found no basis for Britney Spears to prevail in her lawsuit against Us Weekly claiming that the magazine article about her and hubby Kevin Federline had made an X-rated video together was defamatory. The judge found Spears has “put her modern sexuality squarely, and profitably, before the public eye” in a way that would make it unlikely for the magazine article to be found defamatory. Read more.
