Judge Refuses Michael Jackson Trial Delay

The Associated Press reports a judge on Monday cleared the way for the Michael Jackson molestation trial to begin next month by denying a motion for a delay in which the defense claimed it had been “sandbagged” when prosecutors turned over incorrect and misspelled witness names. Defense attorney Robert Sanger asked Superior Court Judge Rodney S. Melville to postpone the January 31st trial date for three months so attorneys could sort through 14,000 pages of evidence filed by prosecutors during the past two months.
