Julia DeMato Pleads Not Guilty

MTV News reports that ‘American Idol’ season two finalist Julia DeMato, 26, appeared in Danbury Superior Court in Connecticut on Thursday morning (January 12) after pleading not guilty last month to drug-possession charges stemming from an arrest on December 4th. A court spokesperson confirmed that DeMato was in court, but said that due to the nature of what happened at her appearance, information about her case is no longer in the public record. The spokesperson said he was not able to give any other information or explain why the case is now behind closed doors.
