‘Justified’ Made Reviewer Totally Impressed
Dontay Thompson of Radio and Records got a sneak listen of Justin Timberlake’s debut solo album ‘Justified’. Thompson said he was “totally impressed” by the *NSYNC star’s effort and added, “Granted, Timberlake had some of the hottest producers team up with him to put the album together, but he really shows a different side of himself as an artist on this album. He co-wrote every song with each producer, so you really get a sense of Justin’s true talents as a writer.”
Justin Timberlake And KIIS FM Respond To Tragedy
September 10, 2002 – MTV News reports *NSYNC star Justin and KIIS FM have issued statements following the tragic death of Burbank resident Anne White, who was struck by a drunken driver outside the KIIS FM studios where fans were gathered to catch a glimpse of Timberlake. “I am horrified to learn of the senseless death outside KIIS-FM last evening, and my family and I wish to express our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the victim,” Timberlake said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with you.” KIIS-FM also released a statement Tuesday: “KIIS FM extends its sympathy to the victim’s family for their loss. Could The KIIS FM Tragedy Have Been Prevented?
September 10, 2002 – More details from the tragedy KIIS FM last night where *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake was interviewed by Jojo. Apparently the drunk person who did the hit-and-run was harassing fans outside the studios and according to a posting at the JJB forum by babykaos, “The guy, who had been drinking the entire night, got in the truck with THREE of his girl friends. He reversed at full speed and hit her, ripped a stop sign out of the ground, AND slammed into a parked truck. Then he went forward with the girl still trapped under the tire. she somehow got..dislodged from the tire and he drove off.” As for why fans were out in the street instead of nearer the studio, babykaos commented, “The 2 or 3 other times that I’ve been there NEVER have they made us sit on the curb. We have always been allowed to hang out by the doors and if that had been the case yesterday that girl may have lived.” Still others might wonder how this drunken person was allowed to harass fans gathered outside. One would think KIIS FM would have realized there would be several people gathered outside and would have alerted police or hired extra security to be on hand.

The 23-year-old driver was arrested shortly after attempting to flee, and has been booked for murder, hit-and-run and driving under the influence, and is being held on $1 million bail.
Eminem And Posse Give Timberlake A Tough Time
September 10, 2002 – The National Enquirer reports after *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake performed his debut solo cut ‘Like I Love You’ at the MTV Video Music Awards, he was heckled backstage by Eminem and his posse.” A spy revealed, “They accused him of lip-syncing his acoustic rhythm song and then they were calling him ‘Baby Michael’, a reference to Justin allegedly stealing some moves from Michael Jackson. They were mean!”
I don’t know why this reviewer is so surprised. Its always been obvious that Justin is hella talented. People just never looked past the whole “boy band” thing…which by the way *NSYNC is NOT…but I guess its better that he realized it later than never. I’m glad people are FINALLY starting to give him his props. Go head baby!
*applause* Couldn’t agree more!! Who cares if Justin is #1…Nick’s making his fans happy & that’s what counts. Like he said, even if only 10 people were to buy his album, but they all ended up really loving it, then he would consider it a success. Having popularity & being #1 doesn’t make you successful, that’s something you have to create for yourself.
I’m sorry girls, but if you believe that you’re delusional. If all he wanted to do was sell 10 records to be happy, he’d be hocking them out the back of his car at flea markets. He’s part of one of the most successful groups in the 90s and is used to doing well and making money. If he doesn’t chart well he’s gonna be disappointed. But of course he can’t admit that cause that’d make him seem shallow. I’m not just picking on Nick either. I’m sure Justin feels the same way/pressure.
