The Morning Call reports ‘American Idol’ runner-up Justin Guarini will soon make an appearance in Easton – if he shows up to appeal a guilty finding on a summary traffic violation. The new star was found guilty June 12 by District Justice Barbara Schlegel of Bethlehem of following too closely. Bethlehem police issued the citation March 12, when Guarini’s car bumped into a car in the 3000 block of Center Street, at Johnston Drive, Bethlehem. Guarini paid a $100 fine, then appealed Schlegel’s finding. His attorney Douglas C. Roger Jr. commented, ”Whether or not he’s here on the 18th remains to be seen. I can’t even reach him to get a comment. His life is much different now. We may have to ask for a continuance.”
