Justin Timberlake Out-Classes Madonna, Britney Spears At VMAs
Chart Attack weighed in on the MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday, saying *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake out-classed his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears and her lip-locking partner for the night, Madonna.
They said of the kiss: “This was PR manipulation at its shrewdest – Brit gets to seal her new ‘I’m not a virgin anymore’ image and Madonna, who’s desperation for a hit has only been highlighted by her Gap ad, becomes current again. In contrast to Brit and Madge’s stunts, Spears’ ex-manfriend (and the biggest winner of the night) Timberlake, was a pinnacle of restraint. Dressed in a smart suit and refraining from either putting anyone down or talking about booty, Justin may not have actually deserved to beat out Johnny Cash in a couple of categories – but at least he admitted it, calling for the audience to deliver the Man In Black a round of applause.”

Justin knows how to pay his respects……that’s why I love Justin. he’s got love for everybody and barely says anything bad about anybody else.
Britney did that kiss to get rid of her pop princess image..
I dunno, by performing with Madge, its kinda Madge’s way of saying ‘this is my new successor to the throne’ of POP QUEEN.

I definitely agree. Justin was simply a class act the entire night and I commend him for it. I love that he went in expecting nothing and came out on top…and that so many people respected him for it. I still can’t believe Em and 50 Cent stood up for him (unless that was a joke lol), but either way, I’m so glad he handled that night the way he did. And personally, I think he did deserve that award over Johnny Cash because this is the VIDEO Music Awards, and we have to admit that the video for CMAR was 50 times better than ANY video that came out this year. (Except maybe “Work It.”)
It’s really funny to read this article, and then read the “Britney Is ‘So Vain'” article, which shows Justin has no class, and hasn’t had any class in the last 2 years since he and Britney broke up. And as long as fans keep buying into it, he won’t ever have any class, because he’ll find it very unnecessary.
Of course, everything B.S. does is for her image. She smokes, for her images. She lies, for her image. She breathes, for her image. Ugh!
I don’t think Britney will ever live down her “I’m a virgin” image. Everybody remembers her for that reason and that reason only. Nobody ever talks about her talents or her vocal ability (like they do with Christina, not a fan but it’s a known fact, imo).
Every critic views Britney as trying too hard and being way too contrived. She just doesn’t have the talent to stay around. Madonna only has talent in her producing choices and outlandish ways of getting attention. Stand her next to anyone like Christina and she will get blown away vocally.
Just my two cents.
As for Justin (not a fan of his music), I think it’s nice that he paid his respects to Johnny Cash. Having seen his early videos as a kid, I can believe he was probably raised on Johnny Cash.
Funny how every time Justin say something nice about someone people accuse him of kissing that person a$$ but every time someone say something nice about Justin because they were impress with a song or a live performance they you accuse that person of being an a$$ kisser come on people where is the love?
