Timberlake Didn’t Need A Pop Hook On ‘Justified’

October 15, 2002 – WENN reports star Justin Timberlake says he was happy to be able to create his debut album ‘Justified’, which was written with more of an R&B tinge without record bosses forcing him to do radio friendly hits. “I’m going to look back on the summer of 2002 as a time when I created something all on my own,” he said. “On this album, I’m totally me for the first time in my life. I didn’t think about needing a good pop hook – screw it man! I didn’t worry about writing a power ballad. It’s a new chapter in my life. This is me.”
