Justin Timberlake Asks Britney Spears: Are You Happy?

After hearing that former girlfriend Britney Spears was unhappy married to Kevin Federline, Justin Timberlake phoned the singer in mid-January to see what she had to say about it. “Justin asked point-blank, ‘Are you happy?’” a source close to both singers tells Star magazine. “Britney paused for a few seconds, sighed and said, ‘Sometimes…. You know how it is.’” Justin, who has been happily dating Cameron Diaz, responded, “Actually, no, I don’t know!” The source added, “Justin told her that her marriage should be nourishing her, not sucking the life out of her.”
