Justin Timberlake’s Apology Contingency

As CBS announced Sunday, *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake was under orders to be contrite at Sunday’s Grammy Awards about exposing the breast of Janet Jackson at the network’s Super Bowl broadcast, “or else” it would have meant being barred from the telecast. On Monday, CBS spokeswoman Nancy Carr said that if Timberlake hadn’t won a Grammy during the prime-time show “we would have integrated his apology somewhere else into the broadcast.”
