Harvey Levin of TMZ.com weighed in on Kevin Federline’s move to obtain sole custody of the children he shares with Britney Spears following her decision to divorce the struggling rap upstart. “Make no mistake about it — Federline has no interest in getting custody of the couple’s two children,” Levin writes. “Sure, he’s asking for custody, but it’s all a thinly veiled attempt to extort money from Spears.” Levin suggests that K-Fed “knows things she probably doesn’t want public” and that in a contested custody situation, Federline would say “there are things the judge may want to know about her past that could bear on her mothering skills,” but he’d withdraw those concerns if Britney handed over a generous settlement.
