Kate Miller-Heidke answered a quiz in a blog posted at her MySpace, including what was the last thing she heard about her first love. “He came to one of my gigs in Brisbane last year,” the Australian singer songwriter said. “He’s now openly gay. I always suspected it.”
As for a word that she says a lot, Kate responded, “You’re right (in the context of: someone bumps into you, they say sorry, you say ‘You’re right’. People don’t seem to understand this in America, so I am acutely conscious of saying it. I know they think I’m saying ‘Are you alright?’ which sounds rude.
