‘American Idol’ season five runner-up Katharine McPhee checked in with her MySpace (@katharinemcphee) friends on Monday (December 10) with a bulletin following the taping of her ‘Christmas In Washington’ special taping last night. She writes:
Good morning everyone. As some may know or may not know, I finished taping ‘Christmas in Washington’ last night here in Washington DC and am heading home this morning. I had a blast. I got to meet the President again as well which is always fun. Whatever anyone’s politics, it’s the President and that is a thrill. The show airs on December 12th on TNT. I think its going to be a great show. A lot of great performances. I got to sit and talk with Colbie [Caillat] and Vanessa [Hudgens]. What really sweet girls. We had a lot of fun. Also, I know that it was posted that my Christmas single ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’ will be on iTunes tomorrow the 11th. I am really proud of that song and so thankful that Walter A took the time out to record it with me. I hope you guys enjoy it all over again. One of these days I am going to record a Christmas album. I would love that. I think that People.com is going to run something today about the single but you never know in cyber land.
Have a wonderful day. I will be on a plane so I won’t be able to read any messages until tonight sometime. I know that some people wonder if it is me that actually reads, and yes it is. I try to respond to as many as possible. Thanks as always for all your support. It really makes a difference.
Lots of love,
