Katharine McPhee Launches Project To Help End Child Hunger

updated fans on her official web site on Monday (June 28) about a project she’s teaming with ConAgra Foods Foundation to help end child hunger in America. The ‘American Idol’ season five runner-up writes:

I am honored to be working with Feeding America and the ConAgra Foods Foundation to launch the Hunger-Free Summer program – to make sure kids at risk of hunger have access to nutritious meals year round. So, while school may be out for summer, lunch is always in session.

This summer I am going to be traveling across the country – from Orlando to Los Angeles – to Feeding America food banks that received grants from the ConAgra Foods Foundation – to volunteer my time, but more importantly, to raise awareness about this important issue.
