Katharine McPhee Suffers Fractured Left Foot

Roger Widynowski, a spokesperson for Katharine McPhee’s label, RCA Records, tells MTV News that the ‘American Idol’ season five runner-up was gearing up to perform at Bobcats Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina on Tuesday night (August 1), when she tripped backstage, fracturing her left foot. McPhee managed to finish her set, singing two songs while wearing “a pair of gardening slippers,” according to Widynowski. She was then taken to a local hospital where X-rays revealed she had suffered a hairline fracture. McPhee plans on completing the ‘Idols Live’ tour despite the mishap, which is scheduled to wrap on September 24th in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Read more.
