People magazine spoke with Katharine McPhee in a Q&A and asked the ‘American Idol’ season five runner-up about about all the criticism the judges have gotten for being especially harsh to the less talented contestants. “That’s not my favorite part of the show,” McPhee admitted. “I think there’s a point where you can get into personal attacks against people’s physical appearances, which I don’t necessarily agree with. I like more of the actual competition.” Asked about the buzz Paula Abdul has been getting for her odd interviews, she said, “For me, it’s completely untrue. In my experience with her and I think everyone else can vouch from Idol it’s been very positive. She’s always been really sweet and she’d always invite us to pick out jewelry from her jewelry line.” Read more.
