Kathy Griffin On Mariah Carey & ‘American Idol’

Entertainment Tonight interviewed Kathy Griffin who is dishing on Hollywood headline-makers in her new standup comedy routine, ‘Telling Tales Out of School.’ Asked about the focus of the show, Kathy said, “It’s called “Telling Tales Out Of School” because it’s a lot of dish. I can’t resist the Angelina’s and the Billy Bob’s. I’m not that big a person that I could just let that go. A lot of my divas are cracking up. Celine is going through some hard times with [husband] Rene, and Mariah is always on the edge. I’m just fascinated by all of it.” The reality TV show junky also commented on ‘’ and its controversial judge Simon Cowell, “I love that guy. First of all, he’s by far the most interesting one on that panel. He says the things you’re thinking or he says the things you wish you could say. I have nothing but love in my heart for someone like that. He’s absolutely the show.”

I do — I’m a big fan.” Meanwhile, Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter offered advice for R.J. Helton, Nikki McKibbin and Christina Christian saying, “Just stick to it, no matter what happens. And if you succeed one time or lose another time, doesn’t matter. Stick strong to your goals, you are going to achieve it one day. I promise that.” Asked who would be voted off next, judge Simon Cowell said, “Nikki. She doesn’t think she’s going to win unless she turns in an amazing performance.” *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake admits he doesn’t have the stomach to have to hear the acid-tongued remarks from Simon saying, “I don’t think my heart could take that kind of criticism.”
