Katie Cassidy Lands ‘Dallas’ Role

Us Weekly reports that David Cassidy’s daughter and ‘Click’ star Katie Cassidy has landed the role of Lucy Ewing in the big screen remake of ‘Dallas’. Jessica Simpson and Lindsay Lohan had previously been mentioned for the part, but a source said Jennifer Lopez, tapped to play Sue Ellen Ewing, may have nixed the idea of a high profile star taking on the role. “She’s hoping for a no-name actress [to play Lucy Ewing],” the insider said. “Jennifer didn’t want a diva on the set.”
