Chart Attack caught up with Katy Rose to discuss her debut album ‘Because I Can’, set for an October 7th release. The 16-year-old singer/songwriter from Canada of course was asked about being compared to Avril Lavigne. “I haven’t really heard that I’m the next Avril,” she insisted. “I think that’s probably more relevant here in Canada, since she’s Canadian. But once you listen to the CD, you’ll see there’s absolutely no comparison. It’s not like I don’t like her music, I just don’t listen to it.
