Katy Rose: I’m Not The Next Avril Lavigne
Chart Attack caught up with Katy Rose to discuss her debut album ‘Because I Can’, set for an October 7th release. The 16-year-old singer/songwriter from Canada of course was asked about being compared to Avril Lavigne. “I haven’t really heard that I’m the next Avril,” she insisted. “I think that’s probably more relevant here in Canada, since she’s Canadian. But once you listen to the CD, you’ll see there’s absolutely no comparison. It’s not like I don’t like her music, I just don’t listen to it. Avril Lavigne Picks Up Home In Toronto
September 7, 2003 – Rita Zekas of the Toronto Star reports that Avril Lavigne has just purchased a home in the city’s Cabbagetown district. And for autograph seekers, Zekas adds that the tiny singer frequents Fresh By Juice For Life’s Queen St. W. location.
She is herself. I hope her music is way better than Avril’s and I hope her attitude isn’t crappy, either.
