Kelly Clarkson Affected By Being Considered A ‘Thicker’ Artist

Kelly Clarkson spoke with People magazine at a gathering with a group of about 20 pre-teens in Nashville on February 11th for a self-esteem workshop sponsored by Dove, where the ‘American Idol’ season one champ talked about her personal experience having her body image picked apart. “It affected me when people were saying about me and some other artists that we were the ‘thicker’ ones,” the 26-year-old confessed. “I’d be a liar if I said I was always fine with it. But I’m wise enough by now to know that you’re never going to please everyone so you may as well stop trying.” Read more.
