Us Weekly reports ‘American Idol’ winner Kelly Clarkson has shown she’s quickly adjusting to life as a top pop star by throwing diva fits over airplane seating. Clarkson “stormed off” a packed Southwest Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, because she couldn’t sit next to contest runners-up Tamyra Gray and Justin Guarini, says a passenger. Clarkson got back on when flight attendants asked passengers to voluntarily change seats because “we have three passengers who need to sit together.” A passenger said, “A lot of people on the plane booed her.”
Clarkson’s A Tiny Cog In Huge Money Making Machine
October 3, 2002 – Real World’s Melissa weighed in on fellow reality show opportunist Kelly Clarkson and her debut single ‘A Moment Like This’ saying, “Kelly Clarkson’s song. Have you heard the lyrics? ‘Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this…’ I can’t help but feel that she is now just a tiny cog in a huge money-making machine that cares very little about her financial well-being. First they make her sing a song about how great and wonderful it is to win this contest, but they disguise it as a love song. Hmmm. I have been reading between the lines for entirely too long to not hear the blatant message behind the song. The song basically is a weird bragging right to winning American Idol.”
