Australian Associated Press spoke with Kelly Clarkson in promotion of her tour of Australia, where the ‘American Idol’ season one champ talked about the controversy surrounding her latest album ‘My December’ and feuding she reported had with label boss Clive Davis. “It’s no big secret obviously this record wasn’t as popular as the last record,” she said. “I thought when we went out (on tour) that nobody was going to know these songs but we went out and everybody’s singing every word to every song. So I was like, ‘a lot of you are either illegally downloading this or something’, because they’ve been singing everything, even the hidden tracks. Even if something isn’t the most successful thing, it’s personal and great for me because you get to see the fans reciprocate your feelings for it.” The full story at thewest.com.au has since been removed.
