Kelly Clarkson Wins Best Female Video Award

Kanye West and Kelly Clarkson took home Best Male and Best Female Video at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards for ‘Jesus Walks’ and ‘Since U Been Gone’ respectively. Upon accepting the honor, the ‘American Idol’ season one champ told the Miami crowd, “Oh, God! I — okay. I didn’t have a posse so I brought my friend Ashley. But thank you so much. I didn’t know I was gonna win. My vote was for Gwen [Stefani], so thank you so much. Oh, my God. Thank you MTV, thank you the fans! I didn’t plan this so thank you to everybody else. Bye. Thank you.”
