‘American Idol’ season one champ Kelly Clarkson won the Grammy Award for Best Female Vocal Performance for ‘Since U Been Gone’ on Wednesday night. “Oh, god. I am terrible at speaking when I cry,” Clarkson told the audience upon accepting the honor from Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Thank you so much. Thank you to everybody. That has supported me this year including my record label and my management. I love you, Jess Evans. And thank you to my date, my first producer, and thank you to my mom, thank you so much, mom. I’m sorry am crying again on national television. But thank you to the fans. Thank you for everyone that worked on my record. And you have no idea what this means to me. Thank you so much.”
