Kelly Clarkson Wins Best Pop Vocal Album Grammy

‘American Idol’ season one champ Kelly Clarkson won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for ‘Breakaway’ on Wednesday night. “I don’t know what is going on but thank you Jesus and God and everybody who has supported me,” Clarkson told the audience. “I promise I will not cry this time. I’m all cried out. You should have seen me backstage. Like I was saying to Gwen, she is such an inspiration. Bonnie, I above you, I didn’t get to meet her but I’m meeting her now. Everybody on my label, Roger, my publicist. Radio has been very very friendly to me this year. Thank you. And I’m so proud of myself I’m not crying. Um, thank you. Thank you. The biggest thank you to all the musicians that worked on my album you all don’t see their faces. Everybody out there my band. All their families at home. They’re playing the music so I’m going to talk really fast and leave. Bye.”
