Kevin Smith On Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez Breakup

Star magazine caught up with ‘Jersey Girl’ director Kevin Smith to talk about the new movie and his reaction to his pal Ben Affleck’s split with Jennifer Lopez — both who star in the film. “It’s sad, because they were — and I think they still are — really into one another,” Smith said. “You’ll see it in the flick: There’s real heat there. The performance we got out of Ben in this movie — which is hands down his best work — is because he was so fu**ing in love with her. You can’t pin the blame on anybody. All relationships run their course. All the media attention certainly didn’t help. It’s definitely a shame.”
