‘American Idol’ season two finalist Kimberley Locke checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace on Monday (October 8). She writes:
I did it! Hit my weight-loss goal!
I hope this finds everyone doing well. I just wanted to drop by and say hello and thank you. You have no idea how much I enjoy reading the posts here at MySpace. Whenever I’m having a bad day I come here to remind myself just how blessed I am.
As most of you know I have been working with Jenny Craig since last November. I recently reached my weight-loss goal of 40lbs. I am so happy! It was a great feeling when I got on the scale and saw that magic number. I have spent the last 6 months being extremely focused on that alone. So to anyone out there who’s on a weight-loss journey, don’t give up! You can do it.
I have been traveling with work, doing shows here and there and everywhere. My Christmas album will be out November 6th and shortly after that I am going on tour with Dave Koz. I can’t wait! I hope to bump into some of you along the way. It was a lot of fun recording this album. Of course, I love Christmas. It’s such a beautiful time of year. I think we can all agree that people are nicer during the holiday season. (That includes me!)
Just in case you didn’t know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I am doing a campaign with General Mills (Cheerios, Nature Bars, Progresso Soups) to raise awareness. So, Ladies, make sure you get an exam this month and check out the link on my page. My Mom and I are both having exams…so take your mom’s with you!
Also, if you get a chance check out the link to Camp Heartland. It’s an amazing charity that works with kids who are affected and effected by AIDS/HIV. This is an amazing organization with a wonderful group of volunteers. They have a summer camps in three different cities and I went to the one in Minneapolis a year ago and it changed my life. So if you have the chance check out their website.
Before I leave you, I want to express my appreciate to you for all of your support. I hope that I inspire you to pursue your goals, wishes, and dreams. No matter what your circumstances may be, don’t ever give up.
