Kimberley’s Exit Leaves Just 2: Clay And Ruben

Backstage after the live ‘American Idol’ broadcast, emotions ran high. Despite her elimination, Kimberley Locke seemed the happiest of the three, hugging the other finalists who milled around after the show. The group was busy taping a special edition of ‘Idol’, to air Monday (8 p.m. ET/PT). An animated Aiken was sad to see one of his best friends go, but reveled in getting this far. “I got chills looking at the final last year,” Aiken told USA Today. “I’m just coming to the realization that that’s going to be me next week. Right now it’s very emotional. On the one hand, one of my best friends has to go home. On the other, I’m completely moved that I’m still here.” Read more.
