Kylie Minogue Friends Fret: Too Much Too Soon

Friends of are worried the singer had come back too soon after her battle with breast cancer after she was forced to cancel her show in Manchester over the weekend due to the flu. “When Kylie first announced she wanted to tour and record again, there was concern among her friends and family that it was too much, too soon,” a source explained to The Sun. “She even postponed some medical work that had been planned for last summer in order to concentrate on her Homecoming tour. Some of her close friends tried to talk her into spending some time relaxing and resting. But she took on project after project – and too many dates. She didn’t want to let down her fans.”

Flu Forces Kylie Minogue To Halt Manchester Show Early

January 14, 2007 – Kylie Minogue was forced to abandon her Showgirl concert on Saturday night, sparking fears that she’s pushing herself too hard.

“I’m sorry and I’ve never had to do this in my career before, but I can’t sing on,” Minogue told disappointed fans at the Manchester Evening News Arena after only managing to sing nine songs in a 45-minute set. Spokesman John Bills said: “Several members of the crew, the tour manager and Kylie have been suffering from flu but she didn’t want to let anyone down. She wanted to get through the show but had to cut it short.”
